who gets burned.
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.
Money isn't made out of paper, it's made out of cotton.
Normal paper -- including notebook paper, newspaper, construction paper -- is all made out of cellulose, which comes from trees. The trees are chemically broken down into their individual wood fibers, and the cellulose fibers are chosen and formed into very thin sheets to create paper.
Paper money, on the other hand, is made from paper made of rags. Cotton or linen fabric is beaten to create cotton or linen fibers. You have probably heard of "rag paper" or "fine linen writing paper." This is where it comes from.
It turns out that rag fibers bond together much more firmly than fibers in regular paper. Rag fibers are basically unaffected by water, whereas cellulose fibers absorb water and come apart when they get wet. So paper money comes through the washer just fine, while cellulose paper comes unglued.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Whip the cream in a large chilled bowl, until soft peaks form.

5 Fruits for Losing Weight
Fruits improve blood circulation, boost immune system, improve digestive system, give glow to the skin, and add shine to the hair, promoting overall health. A fruit diet is a good detoxification medium and, if one is looking for natural weight loss remedies, fruit diet or diets rich in fruits may ensure weight loss without causing any harm to the body.
High-carbohydrate fruits. Diets rich in high-carbohydrate fruits--such as banana, plum, pear, kiwifruit, pineapple, mango, grape, and fig--should be eaten for breakfast. These fruits give the required energy to jump start digestion and provide the required sugar content after the night’s fasting. These fruits should be included in diets on a regular basis and should be consumed with dry fruits, such as dates, raisins, almonds, apricots, and prunes.
Low-carbohydrate fruits. Watermelon, peach, nectarine, cantaloupe, apple, and papaya come under this category. These nutritious fruits have high water content and control the body temperature and help expel bad cholesterol from the body. They provide the necessary energy for the cardiovascular and nervous systems to function optimally. The low-carbohydrate fruits like these do not tax the body with excess sugar content; instead, diets rich in these fruits aid burning excess fat and losing weight.
Citrus fruits and berries. Diets rich in citrus fruits provide minimal carbohydrates. These fruits include raspberries, blackberries, cranberries, and to some extent strawberries and blue berries. A small amount of lime, lemon, or sweet lime can also be included. These fruits help promote bowel movement and thereby detoxification. They eliminate toxins or undigested matter from the body. Citrus fruits and berries cleanse the blood and reinforce cardiovascular system. This promotes heart health as well. These fruits aid in removing bad cholesterol and improving digestion and appetite, thereby leading to healthy weight loss.
Watery fruits. Fruits—such as watermelon, cantaloupe, musk melon, and honey dew melon—all have plenty of water in them with an amount of carbohydrates. They provide excellent hydration for digestion and low amount of carbohydrates for instant energy to the body. These watery fruits provide the required water content for effective digestion and excretion of toxins, thereby aiding detoxification and healthy weight loss.
Dry fruits. These are dried fruits like raisins, dates, and prunes. Dry fruits can be added in small quantities to fresh fruits in diets. These fruits are excellent sources of vitamins and minerals, and they complement the deficiency of minerals and vitamins in fresh fruits. Dry fruits along with fresh fruits in diets are effective in burning excess fat and reducing cholesterol, thus promoting healthy weight loss. They also improve the immune system and aid in detoxification.

15 Ways to Lose Pounds in a Healthy Way
Drink Up
According to Prevention.com, people who guzzled water throughout the day lost more weight than those who didn't. Aim for 8 glasses of water a day, even more if you're working out.
Go Halfsies
Divide your normal portion in two, and save the rest for later. If you're eating out, split an entree with a friend, or have the server box half of it it up. You will probably feel full on less food than you'd think.
Eat Clean
Make a point to eat clean, fresh and healthy food rather than packaged food. In doing so, you'll cut out the additives that packaged food contains. The next time you go grocery shopping, shop the outer perimeter of the store where the fresh food is located, rather than the inside aisles
Fidget More Often Studies show that fidgety types burn significantly more calories than their stationary counterparts. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, stretch out your legs at your desk, or cross and uncross your legs every once in awhile. Even playing with your hair can burn calories. Take Walking Breaks blockquote>Schedule walking breaks in your day. It could be as simple as walking around for two minutes every half hour, or five minutes every hour. At the end of the day, those walking breaks will add up, leading to calorie loss. Eat at Home According to Prevention, meals eaten away from home have 134 more calories, on average. By eating dinner at home, and packing lunches for work and school, you will know exactly how your food is prepared, and what you're feeding your body. Train for Something Whether it's a one mile fun run, a 5K, a triathlon, or a marathon, you will be more determined to workout when you've set goals. If you're new to exercise, or just getting back into it, try the couch to 5K running plan to help you get started. Stop Drinking Your Calories Did you know that supersize soft drinks can contain up to 500 calories? That's one-third, or a little less, of your day's worth of calories- and don't think you can get away with drinking diet. The artificial sweeteners may actually make you more bloated, helping you to gain even more weight. Juice isn't much better because of its high sugar content, and we all know that alcohol packs on the pounds. Work Standing Up Over the course of one day, you'll burn 30 percent more calories standing than you would sitting. If your office allows it, raise your desk so that you can work standing up. If that isn't a possibility, try a balance ball chair and take frequent walking breaks. Stop Dieting Even Oprah's said it- diets don't work. Yo-yo dieters tend to get fatter, rather than thinner. Instead of following a fad diet, make a lifestyle change, incorporating healthy foods and regular exercise into your routine. Eat Breakfast Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It revs up your metabolism and prepares you for the day ahead. If you're out of breakfast ideas, try this healthy recipe that'll keep you full until lunch: Eat More Yogurt A recent study revealed the foods most identified with maintaining a healthy weight, and yogurt ranked among the best. Stress can sabotage your diet goals, and meditation will remind you of your good intentions. Brush and Floss This is good for more than oral hygiene. Brush your teeth right after you eat to avoid a temptation just an hour or two later. Why would you want to ruin that minty fresh breath? Learn to Knit Or play guitar, or sew,or reading . Anything that keeps your hands and mind busy will keep your mind off of food.

SmartSync
SmartSync automatically finds the matching Facebook friends for your contacts. It will offer you best match suggestions even if a perfect match is not found for a contact.
It will not overwrite your existing contact pictures or information, unless you want it to.
SmartSync, which has been doing good business on the iPhone app store, has released an updated version that is a big improvement on the original app, which has become popular because it makes you sound like some sort of omnipresent god. No, I got that wrong. Let’s try that again. It’s like having a CRM for your friends. When someone calls you, SmartSync displays their latest Facebook statuses or photos against the call. Say they said they were tired. When they call you you say “Wow, sorry to hear you’re feeling tired!” even before they’ve said hello. See, suddenly you’re all-knowing.
The app syncs birthday reminders, status updates, profile pictures and check-ins. SmartSync also sync with contacts, even if you aren’t friends on Facebook. If both people calling each other have SmartSync installed, you get their Facebook profile photo and whatever else they’ve recently published.
The startup is now looking to incorporate more social networks such as LinkedIn and other notifications when contacts change. As a result it’s getting high rankings in the iPhone app store as a paid-for app.
Bringing social syncing to your contact books makes sense – suddenly your old contact address books looks a bit flat without this facility. Just don’t say the word Plaxo…
The Facebook iOS app’s built-in contact syncing feature isn’t that great and often can’t distinguish between a name on Facebook and the contact you have in your phone. SmartSync claims it is much better at this, matching contacts using factors beyond just a person’s name and achieving a higher hit rate in syncing.

Hugging & or holding hands with someone you care about has been proven to reduce stress almost instantly
Reaching out and touching someone, and holding him tight—is a way of saying you care. Its effects are immediate: for both, the hugger and the person being hugged, feel good.
Touch is an important component of attachment as it creates bonds between two individuals and showing that you love and care
Hugging is being used even as an aid in treating some physical illnesses, following research that it leads to certain positive physiological changes. For example, touch stimulates nerve endings, thereby helping in relieving pain . It is thus not uncommon for a chronic pain patient to be prescribed "Therapeutic touch" which involves placing the hands on or just above the troubled area in the patient's body for half-an-hour. This pushes up the hemoglobin levels in the blood, increasing the delivery of blood to tissues,
Hugging and holding hands with a significant other can relax you and make you feel better. What a lot of people don’t know is that it can actually physically protect the health of your heart and your ability to combat stress.
Researchers at the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill have been studying the effects of hugging on people’s level of stress. To test this, they had couples watch a “pleasant” movie for 10 minutes either holding hands or not holding hands. The couples holding hands also hugged their significant other after the movie.
The researchers then had them tell about a situation that stressed them out recently, measuring their heart rate and blood pressure. The results were interesting. People who didn’t hold hands or hug had higher blood pressure while describing the situation, and their heart rate increased.
People who did hug and hold hands had much lower blood pressure, about half as high a jump in systolic reading. They also had a lower increase of heart rate. Hugging helps reduce stress!
why is a gadget, that’s bought in other countries not supported for repairs and warranty in the Philippines?
Distributors play a huge role as they are basically the ones that somewhat bank-roll the introduction of the products to the country. Oftentimes, there’s only one distributor for an entire brand. Sometimes, if it’s a huge brand, there could be two distributors (Nokia has two huge distributors in the country).
Once the distributor orders in bulk and imports them from the home countries (normally it’s in Taiwan, China, South Korea or Japan), it will distribute the products to its network of dealers.
Sometimes, one of the dealers will also be asked by the brands to put up a concept store. So the next time you see a concept store by Asus, Samsung, Western Digital or Sony, try to figure out who’s the dealer behind the store.
Normally, dealers who run the concept stores get some marketing budget. Some would also get 50-50 share in the construction cost of the store itself.
For warranty, the dealers also serve as a de facto service center. This is the reason why if your device has a defect, you just need to bring it to the store you bought it (along with the receipt) for repairs or replacement.
The least a store can do is receive your item and then refer it to the distributor. This is the reason why sometimes it takes weeks before your product is inspected, repaired, serviced, replaced and returned. Depending on the capacity of the distributor, pick-ups and delivery to that store may only happen once or twice a week.
If the product line is already strong and the volume of units sold can justify it, the distributor will also put up its own stand-alone service center.
As such, to protect the business of the distributor and dealers, they will only receive items you actually bought from them. These are the units which are eligible for local warranty. Otherwise, they might also accept grey units but you’ll have to pay for it.
● The distributor is only responsible for specific products that it actually imported and sold to dealers. This is why serial numbers, warranty cards or ORs are used to track them.
● Distributors will incur cost for warranty claims. It could be from cost manpower for repairs, cost of shipments for returns and replacements or cost of parts.
● Products bought elsewhere are considered loss of sales opportunity for the distributor so not only do they not want to provide warranty for it, they also consider it competition.
● This is the reason why grey market units or parallel imports are way cheaper than the mall prices of the devices — the prices do not account for replacement warranty and they did not invest in infrastructure for repairs and services.
● So, even if your unit is still covered by international warranty, the local service center will eventually charge for repairs. This is the only way the local distributor can recoup and maintain operation of their business.
Most brands or manufacturers will offer international warranty if local warranty is not available. This means that wherever you bought your gadgets, it will be serviced, repaired or fixed by the international service center.
The international service center is usually stationed in regional hubs like Singapore, the United States or Japan.
Pasta diet...
Pasta is a good source of carbohydrates. It also contains protein. Carbohydrates help fuel your body by providing energy that is released slowly over time.
One cup of cooked spaghetti provides about 200 calories, 40 grams of carbohydrates, less than one gram of total fat, no cholesterol and only one gram of sodium when cooked without salt.
Carbohydrates that can create health risks when eaten in large quantities are almost all highly processed foods. They include white bread, white rice, pastries, sugared sodas and candy. Unfortunately, these types of food are widely used.A concerted effort--along with awareness of facts--is necessary to fill your diet with the good, rather than bad, carbohydrates. Pasta figures prominently in this process of nutritional decision making. In short, depending upon the type of pasta you choose, you might be adding beneficial carbohydrates to your diet, but you might also be heaping more of the less-desirable carbohydrates onto your food intake.

Apples, potatoes, and onions
Did you know that Apples, potatoes, and onions have the same taste
As a child we had a science class in which we were blindfolded, had our noses plugged, and given an apple or onion to eat – we were not told which of the two we would be given. Not one person was able to state which was which. This shows the incredibly important part that the nose plays in the sense of taste. The fact that the three items have a similar consistency makes it virtually impossible to tell them apart without the sense of smell. If you try this, I should warn you: once you unblock your nose, you can tell what you have just eaten.

The Meaning of the Term Poke Has Never Been Defined
In Facebook explains how “poking” works on its help center, there’s no explanation to be found for the origin of the phrase. The most common definition is a friendly “NUDGE,” but the more flirtatious connotations cannot be ignored.
According to David Kirkpatrick reveals in The Facebook Effect that Zuckerberg once responded to a question about what a poke meant on the social networking site with: “We thought it would be fun to make a feature that has no specific purpose… So mess around with it, because you’re not getting an explanation from us.”
